I get asked all the time about what gear I use — from the camera body to my editing software — so I’m spilling all the details here! Whether you're just starting out in photography or curious about how I get the shots I do, here’s everything I rely on for my portrait sessions.

📸 Camera Body

I shoot with the Nikon Z6ii, and I’ve absolutely loved it. It’s fast, reliable, and perfect for the kind of portrait work I do with seniors and families. I know the Z6iii just dropped — and yes, it's tempting — but for now, the Z6ii still does exactly what I need.

🔍 Favorite Lenses

  • Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8: This one stays on my camera most of the time. It’s versatile, sharp, and ideal for everything from wide family shots to closer senior portraits.
  • Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8: I bring this lens when I want dreamy compression and gorgeous bokeh. It’s a beast — in the best way.

💡 Lighting Gear

Lighting can make or break a shot, especially when the sun isn’t playing nice. Here’s what I bring along:

  • Godox AD200: My go-to for portability. It’s compact but powerful, and easy to carry when I’m moving fast or shooting on location.
  • Godox AB600: When I need more power or want to light a larger group, this is what I reach for.
  • I pair my lights with various softboxes and umbrellas to shape the light depending on the setting and style I’m going for.

🕶️ Behind-the-Scenes Content

I love sharing a peek behind the scenes, and the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses make that easy. I use them to snap photos or grab quick videos during sessions without breaking my flow.

💻 Editing Workflow

Once the shoot’s over, it’s time to bring the images to life. My post-processing tools:

  • MacBook Pro: My workhorse for editing and storing files.
  • Adobe Lightroom: My first stop for organizing and making base edits.
  • Adobe Photoshop: For detailed retouching and final polish.
  • Evoto: I’ve recently added Evoto into my workflow to speed things up — and I’m loving how efficient it is.

🌐 Online Gallery & Hosting

I use Pixieset to deliver galleries, host my site, and manage my bookings. It’s clean, professional, and easy for my clients to use — plus it keeps everything in one place.

Final Thoughts

Every piece of gear in my setup has been chosen for a reason — either for speed, quality, or versatility. This collection allows me to move quickly, adapt to different lighting situations, and deliver polished, professional results to every client.
